The Seychelles News Agency resumes its operations on Monday, January 26.
This is in accordance with President Patrick Herminie's commitment to reopen the Seychelles News Agency within the first 100 days of his five-year term.
Vice President Sebastien Pillay, who holds the information portfolio, inaugurated the new website, which features a redesigned look. The inauguration was done with an online presence of Maxim Behar, Honorary Consul General of the Republic of Seychelles in Bulgaria, hosting the website.

The Department of Information have tasked Ms Betymie Bonnelame, former English Editor and Mr Rassin Vannier, former French Editor, with rebuilding the SNA over the next six months, before the agency fully resumes its operations.
The new administration hopes that Seychelles can once again open itself to the world, allowing a broad public free access to news from the archipelago.
The SNA officially began operations in April 2014 and was shut down in December 2024 when the former government decided to cease its operations.
