(Seychelles News Agency) - Strengthening existing relations between Seychelles and Lesotho and exploring new avenues for future collaboration to benefit the people of both countries.

This is what the newly accredited High Commissioner of Lesotho Evelyn Mpho Malejaka Letooane is hoping to achieve during the course of her mandate.

Letooane highlighted her intention in an interview with local journalists at State House, in the Seychelles capital of Victoria this morning.

“There are many areas…whether you speak of tourism you can exchange best practices.....whether you speak of education, you exchange experts, whether it’s in the area of building your own local young business people these are the areas we talked about,” she said.

Letooane was speaking after she presented her credentials to the archipelago’s President James Michel where they also had the opportunity to discuss a wide range of issues of mutual interest.

According to a press statement issued by State House, Michel has expressed the hope “that Seychelles and Lesotho consolidate and strengthen the already strong relations for the benefit of the two countries as well as in the region.”

Letooane who is the second High Commissioner of Lesotho to be accredited to Seychelles is serving a four-year mandate and is based in Pretoria, South Africa.
