Ronny Jumeau: blame tactics won’t tackle climate change

(Climate Change TV) - From Warsaw: COP19 UN Climate Change Conference 2013 in March 2014

Seychelles Ambassador Ronny Jumeau talks about progress at the most recent session of UNFCCC talks in Bonn, Germany. In particular, he is positive about how countries are scaling up efforts to share ideas about efforts being undertaken domestically to tackle climate change, through renewable energy and efficiency programmes.

He says that, although there is still a need for more finance, the Seychelles has found a number of international partners with whom they are working on renewable energy projects—bonds they have formed by avoiding tactics of ‘name and shame’ in favour of a more positive attitude. “You don’t find partners by criticising and accusing them,” he says
