(Seychelles News Agency) - The Seychelles authorities are investigating the death of a crew member of a Spanish fishing vessel reported on Friday, the Police said.

The body of the 47-year-old man was found at Ile du Port, a man-made island near the Seychelles Port Victoria, just after the bus depot of the Seychelles Public Transport Corporation (SPTC), opposite the playing field of Independent school.

According to the Police, the man was identified by the crew members of the Spanish vessel -- Draco -- who came on the scene. 

The incident was reported at around 11:15 a.m.on Friday, the Police said. 

The Police have started an investigation while awaiting autopsy results to establish the exact cause of the man’s death.
