German woman dies in apparent drowning off Seychelles' island of Praslin
(Seychelles News Agency) - A German woman apparently drowned over the weekend off the island of Praslin, the police in Seychelles said Monday.
A police spokesperson, Jean Toussaint, told SNA that the body of the woman, 72, was spotted floating in the sea at Cote D’Or, a coastal region on the eastern side of Praslin. The incident occurred on Sunday.
“The incident was reported to the police by the island’s health authority at around 11:05 a.m.,” said Toussaint.
The German woman was on holiday in Seychelles, accompanied by a companion. They were both staying at a hotel on Praslin.
The two visitors arrived in Seychelles on September 16 and were scheduled to leave on October 1.
