Third suspect arrested in relation to Damienne Morel's murder
(Seychelles News Agency) - Seychelles police has reported the arrest of a third suspect in relation to the murder of 49 year old Seychellois Damienne Morel. Morel was killed on Tuesday November 25, when two masked men broke into her home.
In a press statement issued this afternoon the police say the 22 year old man, a resident of La Gogue in the Anse Etoile district in the northern part of the main Seychelles island of Mahé was arrested on Monday December 1.
“….He appeared in Court yesterday (Tuesday December 2) and has been remanded in custody until December 12 when he is due to re-appear in Court,” reads the statement.
Two other suspects arrested in relation to the brutal killing are also being remanded and will appear in court on December 12.
The two men one aged 48 year and the other aged 51 were arrested last Friday.
The police investigation continues.
