(Seychelles News Agency) - The Seychelles police has confirmed the death of a two year old Seychellois boy Cliff Allisop who was reported drowned yesterday, Sunday November 2.

The incident happened at Port Launay in the western part of the main Seychelles island of Mahé and was reported to the police at 6pm local time.

According to a police statement issued this afternoon the boy who lived at Grand Anse Mahé a few kilometres from Port Launay was on the beach together with his mother and two sisters.

“At one point the mother noticed that her son was missing….they searched for him and found him in the water,” reads the statement.

CPR was performed but to no avail.

The young boy was transported to the Anse Boileau clinic where he was certified dead at 6.50pm.

The police await autopsy results to determine the exact cause of death of the two year old boy.
