(Seychelles News Agency) - The Seychelles police has reported the death of a 55 year old man who was working onboard a Taiwanese fishing vessel.

The man Lin Jui Chi, a Chinese national, was the chief engineer onboard the fishing vessel ‘Hwa Shan N0  212’.

According to a statement issued this afternoon, Lin died on Sunday October 5, a day after he had fell ill while working out at sea in the Seychelles waters.

The vessel 'Hwa Shan N0  212' had left the Seychelles Port of Victoria since August 7, 2014.

“Lin Jui Chi was certified dead at the Seychelles Hospital where he had been transported after the Taiwanese vessel docked in Port Victoria today, Tuesday October 14, at around 8am local time,” read the police statement.
